Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

My love for this side dish is threefold: 1) how EASY it is! Hello, its wrapping a slice of prosciutto around an asparagus spear - that's it! In fact, what a great "task" this would be if you have young kids who want to help you in the kitchen! 2) how GORGEOUS the presentation is! It makes for such a pretty dish on your plate, but I actually prefer to serve it buffet style and have them all piled on a rectangular tray. Would make for a great appetizer too with a dijon/aioli type dip! 3) of course, how YUMMY it tastes! Really ups the asparagus game I'm telling you! It almost tastes like you're eating a slice of bacon! The saltiness and crispiness will keep you coming back for more.

Asparagus spears (however many you want)

Sliced Prosciutto (enough slices to wrap at least half the asparagus spears)

Tightly wrap each asparagus spear with one slice of prosciutto in the middle of the spear. Repeat with as many slices of prosciutto as you have. It's ok to have leftover asparagus - when cooked together with the rest they still get the prosciutto flavor!

In a frying pan, on medium heat, cook the prosciutto wrapped asparagus, tossing occasionally, for about 10 minutes or until the prosciutto is crispy and the asparagus is soft. YOU DO NOT NEED TO ADD OIL OR SALT OR ANYTHING ELSE TO THE PAN!!!
