7 Layer Bars
These bars are so easy to make, yet on a plate they look so fancy! The only problem is that I eat so many of the “scraps” when I’m cutting them that I feel sick! Oh, and if you’re wondering why there’s only 6 layers in this recipe it’s because a traditional 7 layer bar has walnuts in it and when I was a kid I didn’t like nuts in my desserts so I’ve just always made them this way! No need to get all nutty now!
1 stick butter, melted
1 box graham cracker crumbs
1 bag semisweet chocolate chips
1 bag butterscotch chips
½ bag sweetened flaked coconut
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Layer each ingredient, in the order they’re listed, spreading evenly in a 9x13 baking dish. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the coconut on top is golden brown. Let cool before cutting into squares.
